Dallas — Streetcar Opening Date Set

Dallas will launch its modern streetcar service on the downtown to Oak Cliff car line April 13, the Dallas Morning News transportation blog reports. The line will use rolling stock built by Brookville Equipment Corp. of Pennsylvania and will be wire free on the Houston Street Viaduct over the Trinity River.

No date has been set for the opening of phase two of the line extending it to Bishop Arts. However, the opening of this phase is likely to be late 2015 or early 2016.
