Streetcar Circulator

Since the classic PCC cars stopped running in the Newark City Subway in 2002, several ideas have emerged for heritage trolley lines in New Jersey that might use some of these cars. However, none of the plans has advanced very far and 11 of the PCC cars were sold to San Francisco.

More recently, another idea for a streetcar loop included as part of a large waterfront housing development has emerged and eight of the remaining PCCs have been set aside for this project..
