Periodically proposals to reintroduce streetcars surface in Chicago, with none of them yet leading to success. In the early 2000s, about seven years after the last set of streetcar plans, another proposal emerged yet was not adopted. In 2015 yet another study, this time termed "Superloop" was introduced.
