Cincinnati — Streetcar Spurring Apartment Growth

According to the Cincinnati Business Courier, the streetcar along with growth in jobs at Fortune 500 companies is leading to an apartment boom in the city. A report by real esate brokers Marcus & Millichap says developers will add 1,650 apartments in the metropolitan area in 2014, about four times prior year's numbers. The report says "The streetcar has been embraced by residents and developers alike." Despite the growth in apartments, rents are continuing to rise.
