Milwaukee — Brookville SelectedNovember 2015
The Milwaukee Business Journal site reported that the city’s streetcar project has picked Brookville to manufacture at least five new streetcars for the planned system, with the first car to be delivered in 24 months. Brookville’s $18.6 million bid was the lowest of four received from vendors.
The cars will be 8 foot, 8 inches wide and 66 feet long with 32 seats and enough standing space to accommodate 150 people. The three other firms bidding for the contract were Czech manufacturer Inekon, and the German companies Siemens and Vossloh. |
