The city of Sarasota is considering construction of a streetcar line and the mayor says it's a serious proposal that has "really gained traction," WWSB television, the local ABC affiliate, reports. It could be Floria's third streetcar system. Tampa operates vintage trolleys and Fort Lauderdale has received federal funds for a modern streetcar line.
